  • With new consoles come new issues, and though the PS5 is a terrific piece of hardware, it’s not without some errors. Here’s a list of every known.
  • PS4 Remote Play application is designed for remote playing on PS4 using a computer, PS Vita, and iOS and Android devices and that need to be done to connect your tablet or smartphone to the PlayStation 4 game console you can use Remote Play on any iPhone and iPad running on iOS 12.1 or later.

    o/ folks
I recently got my z2 tablet updated and can remote play on that on home wifi, anyone else doing this too?
What bugs me though is that I'm getting an error when trying to play over cell or another wifi network (actually remotely) with the code: 88010e10
    Does anyone have any tips?

Yeah.. don't play over the internet.
While it is possible, you need stupidly large internet connections on both sides to get it to run properly.
It's only really designed to work when the phone and the PS4 are on the same wifi network. Its basically the same thing as what you can do with the PSVita Remote Play, just with this you can sync a PS4 controller which is nicer.

I often tether my Vita to my 4G connection and remoteplay from work during lunch. Works perfectly fine with about 100ms ping (or so it feels)

I don't mind if it's a bit laggy, I've got about 6-10 mbps up at home, and the work wifi is faster so I'm sure I could enjoy a lunch session if it worked.
I'm more curious about the error code - I've queried the @AskPlaystation but there's no reply yet.
Using DS4 on the z2 tab is really quite nice. Next up using it with my bluetooth noise cancelling headphones too.
Anyone know if we can use chat with remote play ?

Are you sure it's not your work WiFi causing the problem? Tried any other? My work WiFi is very restrictive - browsing is possible, but other types of connections are blocked.

@rivuzu There's a good chance of that, however I get the same error using tethering.

I'm going to buy a Z2 this weekend, the main selling point being the remote play feature. If it doesn't work I'm going to be massively pissed off!
  • Ah, just checked again and it is fine now. Had a quick go and it seems to work OK, but not as stable as on Vita. Might just need to play with the settings.

I did see that, but I can't be bothered with rooting and compatibility and blah blah blah, I just want it to work. And plus there's a £30 rebate live at the moment!

Remote play now working with unrooted android devices. Just installed it on my nexus 10 running 5.0.1 as it runs great. Have to connect to remote play on my US account and then connect to my normal account to be able to use the ds4 but can finally game on the tablet whilst the TV has Strictly on!
